boy kills girl story. it was around 28 pages long and i penciled inked and lettered it. it was written by paul carstairs who at that time had written a few future shocks for 2000ad. being my first comic i had no idea how much work would be involved. but im a stubborn sod and i worked my way through it. i was drawing this while on my foundation course so im guessing that would be around 19921993. looking back im not sure this is a good way of trying to break into comics. i should have really just done a few try out pages of judge dredd etc. that may have been a quicker route. we finally got a publisher and it was printed in 1995 by caliber comics. i found one glowing review in an indie magazine which i remember made my day. looking back although some of the drawing is now a drawing a comic for image called the disciples. it was written by colin clayton and chris dows and inked by larry shuput.this was my first colour american comic. before this i had done a few black and white comics for caliber press.the disciples were a group of magicians in a battle between new and old magic. it was a mix of the xmen meets the invisibles. it finished early which was a shame as it had really good reviews. i still get people coming up to me at cons and talking about it. the disciples for me brings back good memories. disciples issue 2 was probably my favourite of them all i only
